What is it? Practicing and 'doing'!
The Makers Day is a steamy and energetic day or multi-day where you work hands-on within the UNLOCK work environment. You are guided professionally, there is a clear methodology, all participants co-create.
Lessons you follow elsewhere, you do here. A Makers Day is about experiencing, experiencing, doing it yourself and 'getting it in the fingers'.
Throughout this day you are building a new product, service or process. You do this in small maker teams that co-create with each other, based on your case. Afterwards you work out this conceptually in a 'light prototype'. You learn, and experience, first hand how the method of DESIGN THINKING (Service Design) helps you. You are continuously in 'learning by doing' mode.

A Makers Day will enable you to work with a simple framework in four steps. Really not difficult. The method is proven and effective: DESIGN THINKING (Service Design)
Innovation is not something you do once, but every time again. So get well in advance. DESIGN THINKING literally means "design while creating a solution to an observed problem or opportunity"

How? DESIGN THINKING
SERVICE DESIGN, DESIGN THINKING or the derivative form VALUE DESIGN is a four-step method for building new added value with always the value for the user in the center (empathy).
The great merit of the model is that the risk of failure is very low by working from the start with validation, and in short 'loops' - iteration. This allows you to be involved frequently and frequently with innovation, without wasting time, money or motivation.
The simplicity makes the chance of success much greater. The many visual tools make it fun and accessible to everyone. The visible progress, and the recognisability of the end users, motivates. The whole gives self-confidence and creates a sense of speed.

One Makers Day
This sprint formula combines the essence in one day. You work in small maker teams that co-create with each other. At the end of the day you have conceptual pitches, with a basis of validation.
We tailor the day to your liking, and use some existing modules to quickly achieve results.
Multi-day and completely customized
In this XL challenge, your live business phase is actually included and worked out into a result.
We prepare the case together and thoroughly in the company. The best option is to provide two multi-day sessions with a short interval. In between, there is always feedback in the company. The participants are personally supported in the period between the multi-day sessions. The final result is debased in the company to be able to transfer to a concrete elaboration.
At the end of the XL challenge you have fully validated new business models on the work table. These are products, processes or services, matured and ready for further roll-out or pilot.
For whom?
For every manager, owner or responsible person and his team, regardless of size, who want to build on the future of their company. Every team member, or every employee, who wants to contribute actively to more added value and a distinctive advantage is welcome and desired.
